I have and had a number of sound clocks. This clock meows on the hour making a variety of a changing meow - twice, on the hour. The meow is very authentic -- makes one look around expecting to see a cat. It really needs a well lit room for the sound to be as loud as I would want. As the room light fades, so does the volume until it gets very low, and, of course when the room is dark there is no sound. I would recommend that it be placed where there is high ambient light reaching it, either via sun or artificial for best volume. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the volume problem. The design looks nice and it appears well made.

I bought it for the kids. It meows 8 times each hour. Not like a cuckoo clock which meows 1 time at 1 pm, twice at 2 pm etc. It has a sensor that stops it from meowing in the dark which is nice, it lets you sleep. Volume is good, not too loud. But it tends to wake me at 7 am. Overall I recommend it. My kitty does tend to look up when he hears it.

This product is Great as I am a HUGE cat lover. I had the many bird clocks But Finally A Cant Clock that meows and sounds like a real cat. I ordered 2 and just got another one for my mother who loves cats (she is blind and uses the meows to tell the time) It's also not too loud (Just Right) as the bird clocks wake up everybody in the Building/House.With the added light sensor its quite at night (*and saves batterys too)
